Details

The go-to model for all-round riders, the Furtado proves that what goes up (well) can come down (equally well), too.

The balance of 130mm VPP travel and a 66.5° head tube angle delivers a package that’s nimble on tight technical stuff yet perfectly poised on tricky descents, too.

The upper-link-driven VPP design is engineered to be ultra-responsive. A firm initial stroke creates tight pedaling performance straight off the bat, while Juliana’s lighter shock tune remains supple enough to handle small bumps and keep things feeling playful. Deeper into the travel, the progressive shock rate delivers a subtle bottom-out resistance that makes it feel like there’s more travel than there actually is.

The Furtado is suitable for almost all types of riders and trails. It has a unique personality that ranges from feisty dance partner on hot laps to trusty companion on more far-flung adventures.

Some people want a garage full of bikes for every occasion. Others want just one that’s good for any occasion. The Furtado is that bike.

- Carbon CC frame
- RockShox Pike Select+ 130mm 27.5 fork
- FOX DPX2 Float Performance Elite rear shock
- Race Face ARC Offset 35 or Santa Cruz Reserve 37 Carbon wheels
- 12-speed SRAM X01 Eagle drivetrain
- RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper seatpost

A dropper seatpost allows you to quickly lower and raise your seat to give you an ideal riding position. Dropping your seat creates a lower center of gravity for better control and maneuverability on steep descents, while raising it puts you at normal riding height for efficient pedaling.

Construction can include either hydraulic- or cable-actuated systems and the post’s travel can either be infinitely adjustable or stopped at set intervals, depending on the model.

Dropper seatposts come in standard lengths and diameters and vary by the amount of travel.

Wider than standard yet narrower than fat, plus-size rims and tires hit the sweet spot in grip, stability, and speed, giving you more confidence on technical terrain. Compared to a standard tire you’ll feel grip in places you wouldn’t expect thanks to a bigger contact patch and greater rollover clearance. More air volume allows lower tire pressures which softens bumps and increases float on sand or snow. Whether you’re a novice or an expert, the benefits of plus-size tires and rims will amplify your mountain biking fun.
